Challenge
Sawgrass Country Club, situated alongside the Atlantic Ocean in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, is recognized as an iconic golfing destination due to its name recognition and storied history as a former host of the TPC at Sawgrass. In line with the club’s master plan to upgrade their course infrastructure, multiple deteriorating wooden golf cart bridges on the East Course required renovation. Given the club's coastal location, a material far more reliable than wood was essential to withstand the harsh coastal weather conditions.
Solution
PermaTrak collaborated with the Sawgrass team on replacing the old wooden bridges with more reliable, precast concrete golf cart bridges that require no maintenance. PermaTrak’s onsite field consulting services allowed the first time installer to have a positive experience.
This project successfully re-established crucial pathways for golfers walking the course, club carts, and maintenance personnel. Sawgrass opted for a Melbourne Tan Beachwood texture for the boardwalk, which perfectly complements the luxury aesthetic and upscale ambiance of the course.
